Functional Secret Garden
The original owners completely remodeled this small house and lot. We started our part of the project by removing some large mulberry trees from the 12-foot deep front landscape. Next, we built a board-formed concrete planter bed to provide privacy to the alley. For outdoor enjoyment, we created an Ipe deck with fire pit, a paver patio. and pathways in the 15- foot deep backyard. For increased privacy, panels of galvanized metal fencing were installed on one side and planted with Trachelospermum (Star Jasmine) vine. The other side was planted with dwarf citrus trees.
